Sculptra Treatment in Aurora

Filler puts volume back today. Sculptra helps your skin rebuild it over time. It’s a collagen stimulator, so instead of filling a hollow directly, it prompts your body to make new collagen where it has thinned. The result comes in slowly over a few months and looks like you, just more rested.

It suits people who want natural, gradual change that friends notice without being able to say what you had done.

How Sculptra Works

What it is

Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible material that has been used in medicine for decades. It’s mixed with sterile water and injected into the deeper layers of the skin.

What happens after the injection

The water absorbs within a few days, so any early fullness fades. That’s normal. Over the next weeks, the PLLA particles signal your skin to produce new collagen around them. The PLLA itself is gradually broken down by the body.

When you’ll see results

Changes build gradually over about 3 months, as new collagen forms. Most people see the full result a few months after their last session.

How long it lasts

Because the result is your own collagen, it lasts much longer than most fillers. Many people keep their results for up to two years or more, with an occasional top-up.

Sculptra vs Dermal Filler

Sculptra Dermal filler
How it works Stimulates your own collagen Fills volume directly with hyaluronic acid gel
When you see results Gradually, over about 3 months Right away
Sessions Usually 2 to 3 Usually 1
How long it lasts Up to 2 years or more About 6 to 18 months, depending on the area
Best for Overall volume loss, thinning skin, temples, a natural refresh Lips, defined areas, quick results

Many clients use both: dermal filler for lips or a specific area, and Sculptra for overall support. We’ll tell you which makes more sense for your goals.

Who Sculptra Is For

Sculptra works well if you’ve noticed:

  • Hollowing at the temples or cheeks
  • Skin that looks thinner or less firm than it used to
  • Deepening lines from the nose to the mouth caused by volume loss
  • A tired look that filler alone hasn’t fixed

It isn’t the right choice if you want instant results for an event next week, or if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection in the area, or have a history of keloid scarring. We’ll go through your medical history at your consultation.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

  1. Consultation. We talk through what’s bothering you, look at your face in good lighting, and agree on a plan and a price.
  2. Preparation. The area is cleansed and we can apply numbing cream. Sculptra is also mixed with a local anaesthetic for comfort.
  3. Treatment. A series of small injections takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
  4. Massage. We massage the area right after treatment to spread the product evenly.

Most people go back to work the same day.

Aftercare and Recovery

  • Massage at home. Follow the 5-5-5 rule: massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. This helps the product settle evenly.
  • Expect some swelling or bruising. It usually settles within a few days.
  • Skip intense exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Don’t judge the result early. The first fullness goes down within days. The real change comes later, as your collagen builds.

Common Questions About Sculptra

How many Sculptra sessions do I need?

Most people need 2 to 3 sessions, about 4 to 6 weeks apart. The number depends on how much volume you’ve lost and the areas being treated.

When will I see Sculptra results?

Results build gradually over about 3 months as your skin makes new collagen. Early swelling goes down within a few days, so the first look isn’t the final result.

How long does Sculptra last?

Many people keep their results for up to two years or more. A single top-up session can maintain the result after that.

Is Sculptra better than filler?

Neither is better. They do different jobs. Filler gives instant, precise volume in a specific area. Sculptra gives gradual, overall support by rebuilding collagen. Many people use both.

Does Sculptra hurt?

Most people find it very tolerable. We can use numbing cream, and the product is mixed with a local anaesthetic.

How much does Sculptra cost in Aurora?

Pricing depends on how many vials you need. Most treatment plans use 2 to 3 vials in total, and we’ll give you your exact price at your free consultation.

Is there downtime after Sculptra?

Very little. You may have some swelling, tenderness or bruising for a few days. Most people return to work the same day.
